About this artwork
This is a vintage artwork created by artist Hemchandar Bhargav published in early 19th century.
In the forests of exile
walk three figures bound by dharma, loyalty, and devotion.
Rama, prince of Ayodhya and embodiment of righteousness,
stands serene with bow in hand
the guardian of truth and the upholder of cosmic order.
Beside him is his devoted brother Lakshmana,
ever watchful, unwavering in duty.
He chose exile not by command,
but by love.
At their feet kneels Hanuman,
the mighty servant whose strength comes from devotion alone.
Warrior, messenger, and protector,
he carries the name of Rama in every breath.
Together they represent the eternal harmony
of dharma, loyalty, and bhakti.
Rama is the ideal king,
Lakshmana the ideal brother,
Hanuman the ideal devotee.
Their story echoes through the sacred epic Ramayana,
where courage meets compassion
and devotion becomes the greatest strength.
Where Rama’s name is spoken with love,
Hanuman is present.
Where loyalty and righteousness stand together,
the path of dharma shines.
In their presence we are reminded:
True strength is devotion.
True power is righteousness.
True victory is the triumph of the heart.
